SubstSIP (SIP Test Server)

SubstSIP is a Windows-based test SIP server designed to support the development, verification, and debugging of SIP-based communication systems.
It enables developers and network engineers to simulate flexible test scenarios by launching multiple virtual phones (SIP clients) that interact with target SIP devices or servers.

SubstSIP does not implement RTP media transmission internally.
Instead, it integrates with an external application, SendRTP, to handle audio and video streams.
This separation of protocol and media layers allows for a modular, maintainable, and extensible testing environment.

Integration with SendRTP

SubstSIP delegates RTP media transmission to SendRTP, an external application that handles audio/video streaming.
By passing RTP port information from virtual phones to SendRTP, users can perform media-related operations such as playback, recording, DTMF signaling, and file saving.
